La Compagnia is located in the heart of the countryside in a quite road among sweeps of cultivated fields and wonderful orchards, in the small town of Solarolo (RA), just near the hills on one side and the famous Riviera on the other side.
The Guest House is situated in the grounds of a 19th century House, recently renewed but retaining many original features. There are two double bedrooms, both with private baths, and a dining room where the home-made breakfast is served. In the courtyard there is a private car parking and, on request, also a garage for motorcycles and bicycles.
The house is surrounded by a large garden rich in attractive spots with several shrubs and high trees, including a centuries-old magnolia. All the plants and the flowers in the garden have been carefully selected in order to ensure the presence of colours and scents all over the year.
Historical backgrounds
The original manorhouse dating back to 1700 belonged to a congregation of nuns called “Congregazione delle Suore della Compagnia”. This is the reason why the B&B is named “La Compagnia”.
During the Napoleonic era the house was acquired by privates, then bought and sold several times till 1990. The present look goes supposedly up to the end of 19th Century, when the owner converted the house in a manor house with a farmhouse, its courtyard and a wide garden nearby.
The last renovation has highlighted the typical features of the building, such as ceilings with wood beams, handmade bricks walls, wonderful wrought iron gratings in Liberty style, original window frames and floor in terracotta tiles.

Surroundings
The B&B La Compagnia is located in the municipality of Solarolo, a charming town with ancient origins, as revealed by recent archaeological excavations that have brought to light settlements dating back to the Bronze Age.
Of particular historical interest are the ancient walls, the Manfredian tower and the remains of the ancient fortress of the fifteenth century, as well as the Sanctuary of the Beata Vergine della Salute and the parishes of Gaiano and Casanola (for more information see the official website of the Municipality of Solarolo).
